This privacy policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our mobile application, Datum, which is a timestamp camera app designed to capture photos with accurate time and location overlays.

2.1 Anonymized Usage Data: We collect anonymized data about the usage of our app to help us understand how our users interact with Datum. This data is sent to Firebase Analytics and is used to improve our app and provide better services. This information cannot be linked back to individual users and includes:

• App launch events and feature usage patterns
• App crashes and technical issues for debugging purposes
• General usage statistics to improve app performance

2.2 Photos and Camera Data: Datum is designed with a privacy-first approach. All photos you capture within the app, along with the timestamp overlays applied to them, remain entirely on your device. We do not transmit, upload, or store your images on any external servers.

2.3 Location Data (GPS): Datum offers an optional feature to display your location on the photo timestamp. If granted permission, GPS location data is processed strictly on your device to generate the overlay on your photo. This location data is never sent to us or any third parties, nor is it tracked or stored off your device.

2.4 Subscription and Purchase Data: We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat helps us manage your subscription status and entitlements. All payment processing is handled securely by Apple through their In-App Purchase system:

• Subscription status and history are managed by RevenueCat
• Device identifiers are used to sync your subscription across devices
• Payment information (such as credit card details) is processed exclusively by Apple and is never accessible to us or RevenueCat

3. What We Don't Collect

Datum does not:

• Upload or store your photos on remote servers
• Collect or transmit your GPS location data off your device
• Collect personal information beyond what's necessary for subscriptions and analytics
• Access your payment information (handled exclusively by Apple)
• Access your device's photo library or camera without your explicit permission

4. Local Storage and On-Device Processing

When you use Datum:

• All image rendering, timestamping, and location overlays are processed locally on your device
• Your photos and location data remain completely under your control and never leave your device
• You can manage or revoke camera and location permissions at any time through your device settings

5. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information in the following ways:

• 5.1 Analytics: To analyze trends and gather demographic information for aggregate use. We use anonymized data sent to Firebase Analytics to understand feature adoption and improve app performance.
• 5.2 On-Device Stamp Overlays: To overlay time and optional location information onto your photos locally on your device.
• 5.3 Subscription Management: To manage your subscription status and provide premium features through RevenueCat.

6. How We Protect Your Information

6.1 Security Measures: Your privacy is important to us. We utilize the latest SDKs available for Firebase Analytics and RevenueCat, incorporating their advanced security measures to ensure that your information is protected. All communication with third-party services uses secure HTTPS connections. Because your photos and location data remain on your device, they are protected by your device's built-in security features. While no method of data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, we implement and maintain reasonable, commercially acceptable security procedures and practices aligned with the latest technological advancements.
